The Flagstaff Discovery Map has aided visitors to Flagstaff for 14 years! It has become a staple to the tourism community.
Placing an ad on the map gives you a chance to show off your business on one side of the map, and puts a label on your location on the “Art Side” of the map. This map was beautifully illustrated by artist Daniel Schmieding, who has lovingly captured local images of our town.
Each year we print 150,000 copies of the map and they are distributed throughout northern Arizona. They are much loved by visitors and businesses alike.
This is the primary map used by the Flagstaff Visitor Center. As well, they are distributed at the Sedona Visitor Centers, and at selected resorts in the Phoenix area. All advertisers also receive maps to use to build relationships with their customers.
Discovery Map International has made some amazing changes to our online presence. Ads can now tie in to the advertisers Facebook page, giving them the ability to change and evolve their message throughout the year, instead of the static ads we used to have. It’s much more fluid, and up to the moment. As well, when advertisers post Events on their Facebook pages, it adds that Event to a scrolling timeline on our website page. Visitors to the site can now click right over to the advertisers events they’re interested in.
There are also two very interactive and fun MapApp™ add- ons you can use. Now you can showcase your community on your website or Facebook page! With the Discovery MapApp™ you can personlise any of our maps by adding your own pins, highlighting local businesses and sharing your favorite places to visit within your community.
Use MapApp™ to highlight your business location, show where the wedding is taking place, or where soccer tryouts are located. The possibilities are limited only by your imagination!
And it offers directions to your business, just as those other, less fun maps do.
